Black believes Plale helped kill his pet global warming project, the Orwellian “Clean Energy Jobs Act.” Dragooned into co-sponsoring the bill as the Democrat chairman of a utilities committee, Plale objected to its destructive cost and had the bad manners—sometimes called honesty—to say so. Plale’s reward was a left-wing primary challenger. Campaign finance documents filed last week reveal Black indeed poured $12,000 into a political action committee (PAC) running attack ads against Plale.

Parents Beware - College-Bound: Turning Your Child Over to the Campus Liberals
A recent survey at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. found that in the last election 92% of faculty donations were to Democratic candidates. The professors’ leftwards leanings influenced the courses available to students—it’s easier to find courses on gay films, minority cultures, and feminist theory than on the classics of Western Civilization. Even in southern Virginia, 82% of Virginia Tech professors supported Democratic candidates. And at Texas’ Southern Methodist University, home to the Bush Presidential Library, liberal student organizations outnumber conservative groups by five to one. Such odds are common across the country.
Colleges typically send summer reading lists to incoming freshman, encouraging them to read books considered foundational to their education. The 2010 summer reading lists were dominated by selections from the liberal thought police: the top two categories were “multiculturalism, immigration and racism” and “environmentalism, animal rights and food.” The report from the National Association of Scholars said the selected books foreshadow what students can expect to encounter in class: attitudes that are “anti-Western, anti-business, multicultural, environmentalist and alienated.”

More Unaccountable Obama Czars
Barack Obama has appointed another Czar from Chicago: the new Food Czar Sam Kass. Officially, he is labeled Senior Policy Adviser for Healthy Food Initiatives, but he's joining the list of more than 35 Czars given broad and unaccountable power over our lives, habits and spending. Everybody laughed when Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) asked Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan if it would be constitutional for Congress to order Americans "to eat three vegetables and three fruits every day." Kagan declined to give a straightforward answer, maybe because she knew that exactly that type of dictatorial mandate is coming soon, in both Obamacare and a ukase issued by the new Food Czar.

Saul Alinsky in South Dakota
Saul Alinsky died in 1972. He was a Marxist grassroots organizer who spent much of his life organizing rent strikes and protesting conditions of the poor in Chicago in the 1930s. However, unlike Christian socialist and activist for the poor Dorothy Day, Alinsky's real claim to fame was as strategist for anti-establishment '60s radicals and revolutionaries. Indeed, Alinsky wrote the rule book for '60s radicals like Bill and Hillary Clinton, George Miller and Nancy Pelosi. He considered Hillary Rodham to be one of his better students and asked her to join him in his efforts as an organizer of radical leftist causes. In the 2008 election, Barb of Ozaukee County discovered that her deceased mother’s name was still on the polling list. In an attempt to have her mother’s name removed she discovered her mother voted in a previous election after she had passes away! What a surprise, her mother was always determined but this was beyond the pale! So Barb went about getting the name taken off the list and after communicating with the Government Accountability Board, the name was finally removed.
Now it’s your turn, do you know someone who may still be listed on the state voter registration list and shouldn’t be? There is an easy way to find out; this is how you do it:

Obama Takes Illinois Mistakes Nationwide
"Unsustainable" is a scary word that recently entered political discourse, coming authoritatively from Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Director Douglas Elmendorf. Unsustainability is the operative moniker for Barack Obama's massive deficit spending, which Elmendorf said "cannot be solved through minor tinkering."
The CBO predicts an increase in our public debt from $7.5 trillion at the end of 2009 to $20.3 trillion at the end of 2020 if Obama's fiscal 2011 budget is implemented. As a percentage of gross domestic product, the debt will rise from 53 percent to 90 percent. Senator Kent Conrad (D-ND) sharpened the focus by asking the CBO Director: "What's going to be necessary [is] either a 25 percent increase in taxes or a 20 percent reduction in spending, or some combination thereof. Is that correct?" Elmendorf replied "yes."
Americans are beginning to wonder if Greece is the picture of America's future. But we need look no further than the place where Obama and his team were trained in community organizing and bully tactics to redistribute the wealth: Illinois.

Panel Vote Could Clear Way For Ground Zero Mosque
A contentious plan for a mosque near the World Trade Center site will get a boost if New York City's landmarks panel votes Tuesday to allow the demolition of the building that the mosque would replace. The mosque would be part of an Islamic community center to be operated by a group called the Cordoba Initiative, which says the center will be a space for moderate Muslim voices. But opponents say building a mosque near ground zero would be an insult to the memory of those who died at the hands of Muslim extremists on Sept. 11, 2001.

Lawsuit Claims College Ordered Student to Alter Religious Views on Homosexuality, Or Be Dismissed
A graduate student in Georgia is suing her university after she was told she must undergo a remediation program due to her beliefs on homosexuality and transgendered persons.
The student, Jennifer Keeton, 24, has been pursuing a master's degree in school counseling at Augusta State University since 2009, but school officials have informed her that she'll be dismissed from the program unless she alters her "central religious beliefs on human nature and conduct," according to a civil complaint filed last week.

On Wednesday, Bishop Gerald Kicanas speaking on behalf of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop, addressed the House Judiciary subcommittee, and made the following statement: “Immigration is ultimately a humanitarian issue since it impacts the basic rights and dignity of millions of persons and their families. As such, it has moral implications, especially how it impacts the basic survival and decency of life experienced by human beings like us. ... Our current immigration system fails to meet the moral test of protecting the basic rights and dignity of the human person.” “Because of a broken system, immigrant families are being separated. Migrant workers are subject to exploitation by unscrupulous employers, and those attempting to find work by coming north are being abused and taken advantage of by human smugglers. it is our view that the best way to secure our southern border is through (comprehensive) immigration reform.”

Tell Congress to Stop the FCC Internet Takeover
President Obama's Federal Communications Commission seems intent on regulating the Internet no matter what. Last Fall, it was about "net neutrality" regulation – a nice sounding idea that in practice would undermine investment, disrupt the functioning of networks, and empower the FCC to be traffic cops for the Internet.
A couple of months ago the FCC was smacked down in court by the DC Circuit, which found that the commission's claim that it had authority to regulate the Internet was not based in law. Did they back down? Did they ask Congress to give them the authority they wanted the legitimate way, by passing a law? Of course not. Instead they escalated their regulatory onslaught, proposing to reclassify Internet access as a public utility and put it under the framework designed in the 1930s for the old-fashioned phone network. Wall Street analysts called this "the nuclear option" because of the devastating effect it would have on investment.
Last Thursday, on a 3-2 party-line vote, the FCC opened a Notice of Inquiry on reclassifying the Internet as a regulated public utility. I'll ask you to put comments in that docket soon, but right now it's critical that we focus on Congress. We must get Congress to step in and STOP the FCC's Internet takeover now, because the FCC has launched secret meetings this week to strong-arm and coerce Internet companies into accepting net neutrality regulations or face even more devastating reclassification into a public utility!

CLOSING AMERICAN LAND TO AMERICANS - Uptick in Violence Forces Closing of Parkland Along Mexico Border to Americans
About 3,500 acres of southern Arizona along the Mexican border is closed to U.S. citizens due to increased violence in the region. The closed off area stretches 80 miles along the border and includes part of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. It was closed in October 2006 "due to human safety concerns," the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said Wednesday in response to news reports on the closure.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu told Fox News that violence against law enforcement officers and U.S. citizens has increased in the past four months, further underscoring the need to keep the 80 miles of border land off-limits to Americans. The refuge had been adversely affected by the increase in drug smugglers, illegal activity and surveillance, which made it dangerous for Americans to visit.
"The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent," said refuge manager Mitch Ellis. “It’s literally out of control,” said Babeu. “We stood with Senator McCain and literally demanded support for 3,000 soldiers to be deployed to Arizona to get this under control and finally secure our border with Mexico." Obama Prevaricates about Jobs
The spectacular loss of American jobs is devastating to more Americans than the oil spill in the Gulf, but Barack Obama still doesn't get it. This month he bragged to an audience of truckers in Hyattsville, Maryland, that our economy is "getting stronger by the day."
The U.S. Labor Department reports a very different picture. The number of long-term unemployed, defined as Americans out of work for 27 or more weeks, is at its highest level since the Labor Department began collecting such data in the 1940s.
More bad news comes from the Labor Department. In May, 431,000 jobs were added, but nine-tenths of them were government jobs.
Unemployment of young men is the highest in 61 years of record-keeping, according to the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University in Boston. The numbers for minority teenagers are tragic.
Obama's $787 billion federal stimulus program was packaged in mental images of construction workers in hard hats. However, most of those hired with Stimulus dollars were government employees.
