Obama STARTS to Disarm America
Would you be satisfied if your only access to a computer was to try to boot up one that hadn't been used or tested since 1992? That's the predicament of our nuclear deterrent on which we depend for our ultimate physical survival. On April 8 in Prague, President Obama signed what is called the New START bilateral arms control agreement. It reads like it was written by the Russians and has nothing good in it for the United States.

Democrats Bravely Combat the Terror of Unfriendly Bloggers
The Democrats’ DISCLOSE Act is bad enough for attempting to obstruct free speech rights with regard to political campaigning, but the chutzpah doesn’t end there. In case you haven’t heard, the bill would affect how certain incorporated entities exercise their free speech rights, with an exemption for some in the media sphere like newspapers, TV news, and the like.Never mind that the Supreme Court’s opinion in the Citizens United case said, “Differential treatment of media corporations and other corporations cannot be squared with the First Amendment.” Democrats clearly are not interested in aligning this legislation with the First Amendment. But here’s the kicker – bloggers don’t get the same exemption provided to other media sources.In order to exercise their right to political free speech, bloggers would have to jump through the same onerous new hoops as many businesses, nonprofit groups, and your local homeowners’ association (seriously).

First Year Tab for Wisc Employees’ Domestic Partner Benefits Tops $7 Million
MacIver News Service – [Madison, Wisc...] Providing health insurance benefits to the domestic partners of state employees will cost more than $7 million dollars this year.
On Tuesday, the Department of Employee Trust Funds reported 700 employees have switched from single to family coverage to take advantage of the extended benefits. That will cost the state $7.4 million dollars this year. $3.1 million of that will come from general purpose tax revenues and $4.3 million will come from program revenues and segregated funds. Even though the benefits are currently coming in under projections, some state lawmakers are disappointed the state chose to offer additional benefits while facing a $6.6 billion deficit at the time the budget bill was drafted.
For Senator Glenn Grothman (R-West Bend) a $7.4 million price tag is no cause for celebration. “Both numbers struck me as high,” said Grothman. “Both the 700 people and the $7.4 million.” Grothman pointed out that with 70,000 state employees, 700 people taking advantage of the new benefits amounts to a full one percent of the workforce.

Amnesty? Bureaucrats Already Drawing Up Plan to Implement
The U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, already has drafted a plan for processing 13 million illegal alien applicants for amnesty in a 30-week period at an estimated cost of $1 billion, WND has learned.
The plan, a copy of which was obtained by WND, anticipates the approval of so-called "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" legislation pending in Congress and assumes a nine-month ramp-up period for processing of applications. The undated draft report anticipates the possibility of the legislation requiring public benefits to amnesty applicants.
Is this a 'Qualified Supreme Court Nominee?'
She has the least amount of experience of any nominee in the last three decades. Her judicial experience is zero, as is her real-world experience, having spent most of her career in academia or working as a Democratic Party insider. (She did serve on an advisory committee for Goldman Sachs during the financial meltdown of 2007!)
Her tenure as Dean of Harvard Law School is marked by kicking the military off campus during the height of the Iraq War, a move that even Ruth Bader Ginsburg ruled was wrong-headed. Ms. Kagan's incredibly hostile view of the military suggests she is out of touch with mainstream sensibilities and obedience to the rule of law.
Even recently, in her brief tenure as Solicitor General, she argued that the federal government has the power, under campaign finance laws, to ban certain books and pamphlets. Responding to this argument of Ms. Kagan, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote, 'As a free-floating test for First Amendment coverage, that (proposition) is startling and dangerous.'

And it will accomplish it through the signing of international treaties on gun control, bypassing the normal legislative process in Congress, tightening regulations upon firearm and ammunition manufacturers, using the anti-gun financing of tycoons and ultimately confiscating all firearms under the guise of terrorism patrol and enforcement. Without public debate and cloaked in secrecy, gun control covertly will come upon us like a thief in the night. One day, we will wake up to discover that the U.S. has signed a global treaty that will prohibit any transfer of firearm ownership, force reductions in the number of firearms privately owned and eventually eradicate the planet of guns for law-abiding citizens. The FCC Goes for the Nuclear Option
If FCC Chairman Genachowski announces his intention to reclassify the Internet as a telephone system, he will be reversing 30 years of precedent. As I have repeatedly warned and noted on www.ObamaChart.com, when Congress blocks the Obama administration, the White House always finds a way to get around the normal policy-making process and pursue its agenda by other means. Today’s reclassification assault on the Internet is the latest—and perhaps the most egregious—example. In its effort to imposing crippling net neutrality regulations on the Internet—an idea with very little support from the American public or Congress—the Obama administration first turned to the FCC simply to pretend Congress has given it authority to regulate. That effort suffered a major setback when the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals emphatically smacked down the FCC’s regulatory proposals in Comcast v. FCC. President Obama and his close friend and FCC chairman Julius Genachowski, however, refuse to back down. Instead they’re escalating to the regulatory equivalent of a nuclear attack on the free-market Internet: Chairman Genachowski will announce today his intention to reclassify broadband Internet as an old-fashioned telephone system as a pretext for pervasive regulatory control.

Arizona Seems Onto Something
Because it's fundamentally good for the country when foreigners want to become Americans, people who claim to be pro-immigrant should lay off Arizona. Maybe they should rethink this wish for "comprehensive" immigration reform. Arizona just enacted laws meant to stanch the illegal immigration that the federal government has ignored. About 60% to 70% of the public, depending on the poll, reckons that was reform.
Putatively pro-immigrant activists don't. The Gamaliel Foundation, a left-wing front, bused 100 pastors to Kenosha Thursday to protest at the jail because the feds hold possible deportees there. The pastors don't want illegal immigrants deported. One leader, the Rev. Dennis Jacobsen of Milwaukee, declared this demand part of a "moral vision" for immigration reform and spoke of "the hateful mind-set in Arizona."

This week, reporters broke the story of a young girl in the Pennsylvania foster care program who became pregnant. When the state Department of Human Services (DHS) found out, they asked for a family court order approving the state to take her in for an abortion-despite the fact that her mom refused to consent. By that time, the girl was 24-weeks pregnant.
"Although it is DHS policy that a state worker accompany any minor who has a court-ordered medical procedure, this did not happen on the girl's first attempt to have the abortion." Instead, she was smuggled to New Jersey for the appointment--alone. Because the young mom didn't have the proper paperwork, she had to return a second time for the abortion--this time with a state government worker, who ensured that the baby never came home. Apparently, that employee didn't bother to contact the girl's foster mom, who panicked when she didn't return from school that day. When she walked through the door at 8:30 that night, her foster mom asked her "what happened?" The girl replied, "The baby is dead."
According to the Philadelphia Daily News, "The teen told her that [DHS worker Cynthia] Brown had taken her out of school to get an abortion in New Jersey." As for conscience rights of those involved? Forget it. The girl's original social worker was fired for refusing to participate in the abortion. "They hired me to work in child protection, not to kill children," she said. And while the state insists it didn't pay for the abortion (the city of Mayfair did), a state worker did accompany her and most likely paid for her transportation. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident. Of the 335 girls who became pregnant under DHS's care, almost a third abort--and nearly half of those are done by a judge's order.

The press has rushed to report a minuscule drop in “teen births” based on data released Tuesday by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). As usual, the mainstream media are focusing on a trivial, politically correct story while ignoring the real story buried in the data. Here’s the real story: According to CDC, a record 40.6 percent of children born in 2008 were born outside marriage — a total of 1.72 million children. The overwhelming majority of the unwed mothers were young adults with low education levels, precisely the kind of individuals who have the greatest difficulty going it alone in our society.
Only about 7.5 percent of these out-of-wedlock births, 130,000, were to girls under 18. Of course, these births can be disastrous for the girls involved. But as a social problem, teen pregnancies and births are of quite limited importance. By contrast, 1.72 million out-of-wedlock births amount to an overwhelming catastrophe for taxpayers and society.

The plan also includes locking in this group's dependence on government and allegiance to the Democratic Party. The plan is conveniently set forth in a 60-page document called "Advancing the Economic Security of Unmarried Women" just published by John Podesta's leftwing think tank called Center for American Progress.

ENDA = End of Religious Freedom in America
Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) will soon have his shot at one of the homosexuals' crown jewels: the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). After 16 years of back-and-forth, ENDA's chances for passage have never been better. "We have an agreed-upon bill," Rep. Frank told reporters. "We're going to get the bill voted on this spring--what people really ought to focus on is helping us get the vote. I think that we're pretty close, but it's not a done deal." As early as next week, the House Education and Labor Committee will start debating a bill that could do permanent damage to American liberty as we know it. Under this bill, the government will order businesses, including religious ones, to stuff their personal beliefs and hire gays and lesbians--even if the organization considers the lifestyle immoral. Essentially, Congress would be establishing a caste system, where the "rights" of homosexuals trump the First Freedoms of any employer. At the very least, it will force people out of business. At its worst, it will bully into silence every American who disagrees with homosexual behavior.

Milwaukee made political history. On April 5, 1910, we became the first (and only) major city in America to elect a Socialist mayor. WI Judge Rules National Day of Prayer Unconstitutional
Had Judge Crabb consulted the Constitution she was sworn to uphold, she might notice that Americans enjoy religious freedom--not by virtue of the courts, but in spite of them. Furthermore, setting aside a day of corporate prayer is more than compatible with our nation's heritage; it is a responsibility assigned to every American by George Washington himself. "It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God... and humbly implore His protection and favor; and whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer" (Thanksgiving Proclamation, 1789).

Assembly to Vote on Global Warming Bill
Rep. Black said he expects committee action in the Assembly and Senate this week and is still holding to his prediction that [Gov Doyle's Global Warming Bills AB649/SB450] will pass by the last day of the legislative session, April 22, which is Earth Day.
1. Contact the Democrats on the both the Assembly and Senate Committees - tell them Wisconsinites DON'T want these bills (AB649/SB450) in ANY form!
2. Contact the Democrat leadership in both houses and let them know Wisconsinites DON'T want any version of Governor Doyle's global warming bills (AB649/SB450).

Social Studies 2010

To demonstrate one way social studies is “done” in Georgia a class of eleventh-graders was marched on stage and divided into little groups. The song “Home on the Range” was played for them and they were asked to answer questions about the “feelings” this song evoked in them, and then in various victims and victimizers associated with the settling of the American West—miners and mine owners, blacks and whites, Native Americans and whites. The young scholars then proceeded to collaborate, and believing themselves “critical thinkers,” came up with the correct answers! Of course, the bright, young geniuses knew that Native Americans would feel “sad” or “angry.”

Election Theft Underway in Wisconsin
More evidence the Obama Democrats are playing by
Wisconsin Senator Glenn Grothman alerts us that Democrats are trying to push a radical 72-page bill less than 16 hours after its hearing. He writes:
Senate Bill 640 [is] a bill which radically changes Wisconsin election law going into this year's election. The 72-page bill was not even introduced until March 23.
Senate Bill 640 makes many changes to Wisconsin election law including the following:
- 1) The bill allows municipalities to set up satellite absentee ballot stations for early voting. These stations apparently could be done in college dorms, outside of bars, or other inappropriate locals.
- 2) The current open government practice of allowing any citizen to challenge individual ballots would end as monitoring of elections
of statewide or national significance would be restricted to people who live within that polling district.
- 3) Permanent absentee ballot status would be established in which ballots would be sent to people who historically do not vote in low-turnout elections. Currently, permanent absentee ballot status is restricted to people who are confined because of age, physical illness, infirmity, or disabled infinitely making them unable to get to the polls.
- 4) University IDs could be offered as proof of residence for registration and voting.
- 5) The increased cost of processing and mailing out the additional absentee ballots is an unfunded mandate that local municipalities will not be able to absorb.
- 6) Local municipalities will be forced to hire speakers of a foreign language if at least 5% of the adults in their district are not English proficient.
- 7) The bill proposes to set up a statewide database of voters that the authors said they would hope to link up to a national database.
"This is a shocking power grab some extremist Democrats are trying to change our laws so that more unqualified voters are able to vote and so that we are not able to determine whether or not voting fraud in fact took place," said Grothman. "That is clearly the motivation behind trying to have a much larger number of permanent absentee voters as well as preventing an individual outside a polling place to object to inappropriate voting."

Islamist Gülen Movement Runs U.S. Charter Schools
A secretive foreign network of Islamic radicals now operates dozens of charter schools -- which receive government money but are not required to adopt a state-approved curriculum -- on U.S. soil. The inspirer of this conspiratorial effort is Fethullah Gülen, who directs a major Islamist movement in Turkey and the Turkish Diaspora but lives in the United States. He is number thirteen among the world's "50 most influential Muslims," according to one prominent listing.

RUSE: The Girl Scout Sex Guide
Sharon Slater, a mother of seven, innocently walked into a panel sponsored by the Girl Scouts USA at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women a few weeks ago. Almost immediately she was asked to leave. All non-Scout adults were kicked out of the room, which was packed with adolescent girls.
Her curiosity piqued, Slater lingered by the door and when the panel ended she went immediately back inside to look around. What she found has shocked her and shocked Girl Scout moms around the country. Slater found a stack of brochures produced by Planned Parenthood called "Healthy, Happy and Hot" that among other things explained to the girls, "Some people have sex when they have been drinking or using drugs. That is your choice."
